The U.S. government's Defense Prisoner of War and Missing Personnel Office identified and recovered the following "recently accounted for" U.S. military personnel missing from the Korean War.  The KWE rearranged the names alphabetically for easy searching.

Recently Accounted For - 2014

Cpl. Lucio R. Aguilar, U.S. Army, Company M, 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, was lost on November 28, 1950, in North Korea. He was accounted for on May 6, 2014. He will be buried with full military honors in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Sgt. Richard John Archambeault, U.S. Army, Company L, 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, was lost on November 2, 1950, in North Korea. He was accounted for on April 29, 2014. He will be buried with full military honors. The date and location of the funeral are to be determined.

Sgt. Michael J. Barra, U.S. Army, Company C, 2nd Engineer Combat Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, was lost February 20, 1951, in North Korea. He was accounted for October 23, 2014. He will be buried with full military honors.

Cpl. William S. Blasdel, U.S. Marine Corps, Company H, 3rd Battalion, 11th Regiment, 1st Marine Division, was lost October 28, 1953, in North Korea. He was accounted for March 10, 2014. He will be buried with full military honors spring 2014, in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.

Cpl. William N. Bonner, U.S. Army, Medical Company, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, was lost on May 31, 1951, in North Korea. He was accounted for on April 22, 2014. He will be buried with full military honors summer 2014, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

Cpl. William F. Day, U.S. Army, Company C, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 31st Regimental Combat Team, was lost on December 2, 1950, in North Korea. He was accounted for on March 6, 2014. He will be buried with full military honors April 5, 2014, in La Center, Kentucky.

Pfc. Donald C. Durfee, U.S. Army, Company M, 31st Infantry Regiment, 31st Regimental Combat Team (RCT), was lost on December 2, 1950, in North Korea. He was accounted for January 30, 2014. He will be buried March 6, 2014, in Rittman, Ohio.

Sgt. Cameron M. Flack, U.S. Army, Company L, 3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, was lost Dec. 12, 1950, in North Korea. He was accounted for October 8, 2014. He will be buried with full military honors.

Sgt. Paul M. Gordon, U.S. Army, Company H, 2nd Battalion. 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, was lost on January 7, 1951, in South Korea. He was accounted for February 12, 2014. He will be buried with full military honors June 20, 2014, in Williamstown, Kentucky.

Cpl. Alva C. Groves, U.S. Army, Company D, 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, was lost on April 14, 1951, in North Korea. He was accounted for June 12, 2014. He will be buried with full military Honors.

Pfc. James R. Holmes, U.S. Army, Company K, 3rd Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, was lost December 1, 1950, in North Korea. He was accounted for January 14, 2014. He will be buried with full military honors in Arlington National Cemetery in May 2014.

Sgt. Charles Allen, U.S. Army, Company C, 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, was lost on March 31, 1951, near Pyoktong, North Korea. He was accounted for on April 19. He will be buried with full military honors in May 2013, in Dallas, Texas.

Cpl. Armando Alvarez, U.S. Army, Company A, 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, was lost on December 2, 1950, near the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea. He was accounted for on June 6, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors in the summer of 2013.

Cpl. Robert G. Archer, U.S. Army, Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 31st Regimental Combat Team, 32nd Infantry Regimental, 7th Infantry Division, was lost on December 2, 1950, near the Chosin Reservoir in North Korea. He was accounted for on January 14, 2013.

Pfc. Herene K. Blevins, U. S. Army, 7th Infantry Division, 31st Regimental Combat Team, was lost on December 2, 1950, near the eastern banks of the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea. He was accounted for on July 31, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors in Hagerstown, Md.

Pfc. Bobby L. Byars, U.S. Army, Company M, 3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, was lost on December 12, 1950, near the Chosin Reservoir. He was accounted for on January 4, 2013.

Cpl. George W. Conklin, Jr., U.S. Army, Company I, 3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division was lost December 3, 1950, near the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea. He was accounted for October 30, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors in Phelps, New York, November 9, 2013.

Pfc. James L. Constant, U.S. Army, Company A, 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, was lost on September 8, 1950, near Changnyong, South Korea. He was accounted for on May 1, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors May 25, 2013, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Pfc. Jerry P. Craig, U.S. Army, Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, was lost December 2, 1950, in North Korea. He was accounted for November 19, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors in Leesville, Louisiana, December 19, 2013.

•Pfc. Weldon A, Davis, U.S. Army, Battery B, 38th Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, was lost on November 30, 1950, near the vicinity of Somindong, North Korea. He was accounted for on January 9, 2013.

•Pfc. Norman P. Dufresne, U.S. Army, Company G, 2nd Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division was lost July 30, 1950, near Chinju, South Korea. He was accounted for on September 19, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors October 19, in Leominster, Massachusetts.

•Cpl. Harold A. Evans, U.S. Army, of Headquarters Co., 3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, and part of the 31st Regimental Combat Team, was reported missing on December 13, 1950, while deployed east of the Chosin Reservoir near Sinhung-ri, South Hamgyong Province, North Korea. He was accounted for on September 26, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors October 12, in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.

Sgt. Bernard J. Fisher, U.S. Army, Company L, 3rd Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division, was lost on January 1, 1951, near Seoul, South Korea. He was accounted for on March 14, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors July 9, 2013, at Arlington National Cemetery.

•Sgt. 1st Class Joseph E. Gantt, U.S. Army, Battery C, 503rd Field Artillery, 2nd Infantry Division, is now accounted for. He was lost November 30, 1950, in the vicinity of Somindong, North Korea. He was accounted for November 26, 2013. He will be buried will full military honors in Inglewood, California, December 28, 2013.

•Master Sgt. Ernest W. Grainger, U.S. Army, Company K, 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division, was lost on July 11, 1950, near Chochiwon, South Korea. He was accounted for on February 28, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors in April 2013, in Conway, South Carolina.

•1st Lt. Douglas H. Haag, U.S. Army, Company K, 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division, was lost between July 10-12, 1950, near Chochiwon, South Korea. He was accounted for on February 28, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors in the spring of 2013, in Louisville, Kentucky.

•Pfc. James R. Hare, U.S. Army, Battery B, 15th Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, was lost on February 13, 1951, near the Korean town of Hoengsong. He was accounted for on January 19, 2013.

•Cpl. Joe W. Howard, U.S. Army, Battery A, 503rd Field Artillery, 2nd Infantry Division, was lost Dec. 1, 1950, in North Korea. He was accounted for December 5, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors in Jacksonville, Florida, on January 9, 2014.

Pfc. Ronald C. Huffman, U.S. Army, Company K, 3rd Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, was lost on February 12, 1951, during a battle near Saemal, South Korea. He was accounted for on August 6, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors in Princeton, West Virginia.

•Sgt. Delbert D. Kovalcheck, U.S. Army, Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion, 31st Regimental Combat Team (RCT), was lost on December 12, 1950, in North Korea. He was accounted for October 31, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors on June 11, 2014 at Arlington National Cemetery.

•Cpl. Cletus R. Lies, U.S. Army, Medical Company, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, was lost November 28, 1950, in North Korea. He was accounted for December 7, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors in Bremen, North Dakota., in the spring of 2014.

•Cpl. Donald V. Maclean, U.S. Army, Company D, 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, was lost on December 2, 1950, near the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea. He was accounted for on May 22, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors in the summer of 2013, in Cary, Illinois.

•Cpl. Billy M. McIntyre, U.S. Army, Company K, 3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 31st Regimental Combat Team, was lost on December 7, 1950, near the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea. He was accounted for on February 27, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors in the summer of 2013, near Carter, Oklahoma.

•Cpl. Glydon E. Moyer, U.S. Army, Battery D, 15th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion, was lost on December 2, 1950, near the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea. He was accounted for on June 13, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors on July 25, 2013, in Luray, Virginia.

•Cpl. William A. Newton, U.S. Army, Headquarters Service Company, 2nd Engineer Combat Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, was lost November 30, 1950, in North Korea. He was accounted for November 20, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors in Kountze, Texas, December 20, 2013.

•Cpl. Marvin E. Omans, U.S. Army, Company I, 3rd Battalion, 31st Regimental Combat Team, was lost on December 3, 1950, near the Sinhung-ri, North Korea. He was accounted for on May 21, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors in the June 24, 2013, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

•Pfc. Jonathan R. Posey Jr., U.S. Marine Corps, Battery L, 11th Artillery Regiment, 1st Marine Division was lost on December 2, 1950, during the fighting withdrawal from the Chosin Reservoir. He was accounted for on June 19, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors on August 12, 2013, at Arlington National Cemetery.

•Cpl. Robert W. Scott, U.S. Army, 31st Regimental Combat Team, was lost on December 1, 1950, near the North Korean town of Sinhung-ri. He was accounted for on January 16, 2013.

•Master Sgt. Robert A. Stein, U.S. Army, Headquarters Battery, 57th Field Artillery Battalion, was lost on December 4, 1950, near the Chosin Reservoir in North Korea. He was accounted for on February 6, 2013.

•Sgt. 1st Class Joseph D. Steinberg, U.S. Army, Battery C, 15th Field Artillery Battalion, was lost on February 13, 1951, near Hoengsong, South Korea. He was accounted for on May 30, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors in the summer of 2013, in San Bruno, California.

•Cpl. Robert J. Tait, U.S. Army, Headquarters Battery, 57th Field Artillery Battalion, 31st Regimental Combat Team was lost December 6, 1950, near the Chosin Reservoir. He was accounted for on September 10, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors October 5, in Bar Harbor, Maine.

•Sgt. Clement Thibodeaux Jr., U.S. Army, Company L, 3rd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, was lost on November 28, 1950, near the Ch'ongch'on River, North Korea. He was accounted for June 13, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors in Church Point, Louisiana.

•Master Sgt. Olen B. Williams, U.S. Army, Company K, 3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, was lost on December 12, 1950, near the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea. •Sgt. William T. Barker, U.S. Army, 503rd Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, was lost in February 1951, while in captivity in Pyokdong, North Korea. He was accounted for on June 30, 2012.

•Sgt. Thomas J. Barksdale, B Battery, 503rd Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, was lost on November 30, 1950, near Ch'ongch'on, North Korea. He was accounted for on June 22, 2012.

•Sgt. Stanley W. Bear, U.S. Army, F Company, 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, was lost on September 4, 1950, near Haman, South Korea. He was accounted for on October 15, 2012.

•Cpl. Clarence H. Huff, Jr., U.S. Marine Corps, I Company, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division was lost on December 2, 1950, near the Chosin Reservoir. He was accounted for on July 13, 2012.

•Cpl. James N. Larkin, U.S. Army, C Company, 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, was captured on February 11, 1951, and died in captivity in April 1951. He was accounted for on February 21, 2012.

•Cpl. Chester J. Roper, U.S. Army, Battery A, 503rd Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, was captured by enemy forces on December 1, 1950, near Somindong, North Korea, and died in early 1951 in POW Camp 5 at Pyoktong. He was accounted for on January 4, 2012.

•Pfc. Glenn S. Schoenmann, U.S. Army, Company M, 3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, was lost on December 12, 1950, near the Chosin Reservoir. He was accounted for on December 12, 2012.

•Sgt. Chester L. Williams, U.S. Army, B Battery, 57th Field Artillery Battalion, 31st Regimental Combat Team, was lost on December 6, 1950, near the Chosin Reservoir. He was accounted for on August 28, 2012.

•Cpl. Agustin Alvarez, U.S. Army, M Company, 3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, was lost on Nov. 30, 1950, during the fighting withdrawal from the east side of the Chosin, in North Korea, and died as a POW in December 1950. His remains were identified on August 17, 2011.

•Sgt. Wyatt H. Belton, U.S. Army, C Company, 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment was lost on Nov. 28, 1950, while engaged in combat operations near Unsan, North Korea. His remains were identified on January 13, 2011.

•Sgt. Joseph A. Bowen, U.S. Army, Medical Company K, 31st Infantry Regiment, 31st Regimental Combat Team, 7th Infantry Division, was lost on November 30, 1950, during a battle near the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea. His remains were identified on November 7, 2011.

Sgt. Ralph W. Carlson, U.S. Army, 25th Reconnaissance Company, 25th Infantry Division, died on April 30, 1951, while captive at Suan Prisoner of War camp, North Korea. His remains were identified on February 18, 2011.

Pvt. Richard Erwin Clapp, U.S. Army, C Company, 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 25th ID, was lost on September 2, 1950, near Yulchon, South Korea. His remains were identified on September 23, 2011.

•Pfc. Henry L. Gustafson, U.S. Army, B Battery, 57th Field Artillery Battalion, was lost on December 31, 1950, near Hagaru-ri, North Korea. His remains were identified on June 3, 2011.

Sgt. Lee D. Henry, Jr., U.S. Army, I Company, 24th Infantry Regiment, 25th Division, was lost on August 7, 1950, near the Naktong River in South Korea. His remains were identified on June 3, 2011.

Pfc. George A. Porter, U.S. Army, Battery B, 15th Field Artillery Battalion, was lost on February 13, 1951, and died in captivity in what came to be called the Hoengsong Massacre in North Korea. His remains were identified on November 15, 2011.

•Cpl. Theodore A. Reynolds, U.S. Army, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, was lost on November 2, 1950, in North Korea. His remains were identified on August 1, 2011.

Sgt. 1st Class Benny D. Rogers and Sgt. William Eugene Brashear, U.S. Army, 8th Cavalry Regiment, were lost on November 2, 1950, during a battle south of Unsan, North Korea. Their remains were identified on September 26, 2011.

•Sgt. 1st Class Charles A. Roy, U.S. Army, Battery A, 61st Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division was lost on November 5, 1950, when he was captured by Chinese forces and died in 1951, in a POW Camp in North Korea. His remains were identified on November 7, 2011.

•Capt. Melvin R. Stai, U.S. Army, 2nd Infantry Division, was lost on Jan. 29, 1951, near Wonju, South Korea. His remains were identified on January 31, 2011.

•Cpl. James N. Sund, U.S. Army, 2nd Infantry Division, was lost on February 12, 1951, near Chowon-ri, South Korea. His remains were identified on January 31, 2011.

•Pfc. Maximo A. Troche, U.S. Army, I Company, 3rd Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division, was lost on February 4, 1951, during a battle near Yangpyeong, South Korea, and died as a POW in 1951. His remains were identified on October 21, 2011.

•Master Sgt. Roy E. Head, U.S. Army, Headquarters Company, 49th Field Artillery Battalion, was lost spring 1951 at a POW camp in North Korea, where he died of malnutrition. His remains were identified on May 11, 2009.

•Cpl. Floyd E. Hooper, U.S. Army, I Company, 3rd Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division, was lost on February 4, 1951, when his unit came under heavy enemy counterattack near Yangp'yong, South Korea. His remains were identified on September 8, 2009.

•Ensign Robert W. Langwell, U.S. Navy, lost on October 1, 1950, while aboard the minesweeper USS Magpie that sank after striking an enemy mine off the coast of Chuksan-ri, South Korea. His remains were identified on November 6, 2009.

Master Sgt. John G. Linkowski, Sgt. Donald M. LaForest, Sgt. Charles P. Whitler, Cpl. Harry J. Reeve, Cpl. Stanley P. Arendt, and Pfc. Charles H.
