Recently Accounted For - 2014
•Cpl. Lucio R. Aguilar, U.S. Army, Company M, 35th
Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, was lost on November 28,
1950, in North Korea. He was accounted for on May 6, 2014. He
will be buried with full military honors in Corpus Christi,
Texas.
•Sgt. Richard John Archambeault, U.S. Army, Company L,
3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, was
lost on November 2, 1950, in North Korea. He was accounted for on
April 29, 2014. He will be buried with full military honors. The
date and location of the funeral are to be determined.
•Sgt. Michael J. Barra, U.S. Army, Company C, 2nd
Engineer Combat Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, was lost February
20, 1951, in North Korea. He was accounted for October 23, 2014. He
will be buried with full military honors.
•Cpl. William S. Blasdel, U.S. Marine Corps, Company
H, 3rd Battalion, 11th Regiment, 1st Marine Division, was lost
October 28, 1953, in North Korea. He was accounted for March 10,
2014. He will be buried with full military honors spring 2014,
in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
•Cpl. William N. Bonner, U.S. Army, Medical Company,
8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, was lost on May 31,
1951, in North Korea. He was accounted for on April 22, 2014. He
will be buried with full military honors summer 2014, in Sault
Ste. Marie, Michigan.
•Cpl. William F. Day, U.S. Army, Company C, 32nd
Infantry Regiment, 31st Regimental Combat Team, was lost on December
2, 1950, in North Korea. He was accounted for on March 6, 2014.
He will be buried with full military honors April 5, 2014, in La
Center, Kentucky.
•Pfc. Donald C. Durfee, U.S. Army, Company M, 31st
Infantry Regiment, 31st Regimental Combat Team (RCT), was lost
on December 2, 1950, in North Korea. He was accounted for January 30,
2014. He will be buried March 6, 2014, in Rittman, Ohio.

Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, was

lost on March 31, 1951, near Pyoktong, North Korea. He was
accounted for on April 19. He will be buried with full military
honors in May 2013, in Dallas, Texas.
•Cpl. Armando Alvarez, U.S. Army, Company A, 1st
Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, was
lost on December 2, 1950, near the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea. He
was accounted for on June 6, 2013. He will be buried with full
military honors in the summer of 2013.
•Cpl. Robert G. Archer, U.S. Army, Headquarters
Company, 1st Battalion, 31st Regimental Combat Team, 32nd

3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division was
lost December 3, 1950, near the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea. He

•Pfc. James L. Constant, U.S. Army, Company A, 1st
Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, was
lost on September 8, 1950, near Changnyong, South Korea. He was
accounted for on May 1, 2013. He will be buried with full
military honors May 25, 2013, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
•Pfc. Jerry P. Craig, U.S. Army, Headquarters Company,
1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division,
was lost December 2, 1950, in North Korea. He was accounted for November 19, 2013. He will be buried with full military honors in
Leesville, Louisiana, December 19, 2013.
•Pfc. Weldon A, Davis, U.S. Army, Battery B, 38th
Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, was lost on
November 30, 1950, near the vicinity of Somindong, North Korea. He
was accounted for on January 9, 2013.
•Pfc. Norman P. Dufresne, U.S. Army, Company G, 2nd
Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division was
lost July 30, 1950, near Chinju, South Korea. He was accounted
for on September 19, 2013. He will be buried with full military
honors October 19, in Leominster, Massachusetts.
•Cpl. Harold A. Evans, U.S. Army, of Headquarters Co.,
3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division,
and part of the 31st Regimental Combat Team, was reported
missing on December 13, 1950, while deployed east of the Chosin
Reservoir near Sinhung-ri, South Hamgyong Province, North Korea.
He was accounted for on September 26, 2013. He will be buried with
full military honors October 12, in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.
•Sgt. Bernard J. Fisher, U.S. Army, Company L, 3rd
Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division, was
lost on January 1, 1951, near Seoul, South Korea. He was accounted
for on March 14, 2013. He will be buried with full military
honors July 9, 2013, at Arlington National Cemetery.
•Sgt. 1st Class Joseph E. Gantt, U.S. Army, Battery C,
503rd Field Artillery, 2nd Infantry Division, is now accounted
for. He was lost November 30, 1950, in the vicinity of Somindong,

•Cpl. William R. Sluss, U.S. Army, Service Battery, 38th
Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, was captured
by enemy forces in late November 1950, near Kunu-ri, North Korea,
and died at POW Camp 5 in April 1951. He was accounted for on
January 17, 2012.
•Sgt. 1st Class Edris A. Viers, U.S. Army, Battery A,
555th Field Artillery Battalion, 5th Regimental Combat Team, was
lost near Pongam-ni, South Korea on August 12, 1950. He was
accounted for on January 17, 2012.
•Cpl. Robert I. Wax, U.S. Army, of Battery A, 555th
Field Artillery Battalion, was lost on August 11, 1950, near Pongam-ni, South Korea. He was accounted for on February 23, 2012.
•Sgt. Raymond B. Wellbrock, U.S. Army, Company M, 3rd
Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, was
lost on December 12, 1950, near Sinhung-ri, North Korea. He was
accounted for on November 30, 2012.
•Sgt. Chester L. Williams, U.S. Army, B Battery, 57th
Field Artillery Battalion, 31st Regimental Combat Team, was lost
on December 6, 1950, near the Chosin Reservoir. He was accounted for

•Sgt. Willard F. Williams, U.S. Army, E Company, 35th
Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, was lost on November 28,
1950, just south of Unsan, North Korea. He was accounted for on
October 23, 2012.
•Pfc. Nelson E. Young, U.S. Army, 1st Battalion, 32nd
Infantry Regiment, 31st Regimental Combat Team, was captured on
December 2, 1950, near the Chosin Reservoir in North Korea and died
in late 1950 or early 1951. He was accounted for on March 30,

•Cpl. Agustin Alvarez, U.S. Army, M Company, 3rd
Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, was lost on Nov. 30, 1950,
during the fighting withdrawal from the east side of the Chosin,
in North Korea, and died as a POW in December 1950. His remains
were identified on August 17, 2011.
•Sgt. Wyatt H. Belton, U.S. Army, C Company, 1st
Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment was lost on Nov. 28, 1950,
while engaged in combat operations near Unsan, North Korea. His
remains were identified on January 13, 2011.
•Sgt. Joseph A. Bowen, U.S. Army, Medical Company K,
31st Infantry Regiment, 31st Regimental Combat Team, 7th
Infantry Division, was lost on November 30, 1950, during a
battle near the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea. His remains were
identified on November 7, 2011.
•Sgt. Ralph W. Carlson, U.S. Army, 25th Reconnaissance
Company, 25th Infantry Division, died on April 30, 1951, while
captive at Suan Prisoner of War camp, North Korea. His remains
were identified on February 18, 2011.
•Pvt. Richard Erwin Clapp, U.S. Army, C Company, 1st
Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 25th ID, was lost on
September 2, 1950, near Yulchon, South Korea. His remains were

Infantry Regiment, 25th Division, was lost on August 7, 1950,
near the Naktong River in South Korea. His remains were

Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, was
lost on February 12, 1951, after enemy forces overran American
positions near Chowon-ni, Republic of Korea. His remains were

•Pfc. John G. Lavelle, Jr., U.S. Army, B Company, 2nd
Engineer Combat Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, was lost on

Field Artillery Battalion, was lost on February 13, 1951, and
died in captivity in what came to be called the Hoengsong
Massacre in North Korea. His remains were identified on November

•Cpl. Theodore A. Reynolds, U.S. Army, 8th Cavalry
Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, was lost on November 2, 1950, in
North Korea. His remains were identified on August 1, 2011.
•Sgt. 1st Class Benny D. Rogers and Sgt. William
Eugene Brashear, U.S. Army, 8th Cavalry Regiment, were lost
on November 2, 1950, during a battle south of Unsan, North
Korea. Their remains were identified on September 26, 2011.
•Sgt. 1st Class Charles A. Roy, U.S. Army, Battery A,
61st Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division was lost
on November 5, 1950, when he was captured by Chinese forces and
died in 1951, in a POW Camp in North Korea. His remains were

•Capt. Melvin R. Stai, U.S. Army, 2nd Infantry
Division, was lost on Jan. 29, 1951, near Wonju, South Korea.

lost on February 4, 1951, during a battle near Yangpyeong, South

Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, was lost

Division, were lost on November 25, 1950, near Kujang, North
Korea. Their remains were identified on May 27, 2009.
•Master Sgt. Roy E. Head, U.S. Army, Headquarters
Company, 49th Field Artillery Battalion, was lost spring 1951 at
a POW camp in North Korea, where he died of malnutrition. His
remains were identified on May 11, 2009.
•Cpl. Floyd E. Hooper, U.S. Army, I Company, 3rd
Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division, was
lost on February 4, 1951, when his unit came under heavy enemy
counterattack near Yangp'yong, South Korea. His remains were
identified on September 8, 2009.
•Ensign Robert W. Langwell, U.S. Navy, lost on October
1, 1950, while aboard the minesweeper USS Magpie that sank after
striking an enemy mine off the coast of Chuksan-ri, South Korea.
