March 15, 1981 -
- Cude, Sgt. Vernon Jr., 21, Carrizo Springs, Texas.
While participating in Team Spirit in Korea, he and three other
soldiers from Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 31st Mechanized
Infantry, 2nd Infantry Division, drowned in the Namhan River.
They were 35 miles southeast of Seoul when the pontoon bridge
they were crossing broke apart.
